Shortly after Jesus' baptism in the river Jordan, he was invited to a wedding at Cana. Marriages and weddings feature prominently in the Bible from Genesis through to Revelation. Jesus has special regard for this sacred ceremony and his first miracle was performed at a wedding in Cana, Galilee. The bible states that they had ran out of wine, however Jesus was able to save the wedding and the reputation of the family.
